2017 Household Hazardous Waste and Clean Sweep Collection Day

When: Saturday, October 14, 2017

Time: 9:00 a.m. to noon

Collection Site Locations:

Lake County – Wenger Pavilion, Downtown Baldwin (behind Jones Ice Cream Parlor)

Osceola County – Road Commission North Facility, 13353 20 Mile Rd., Tustin, MI 49688 (Near Dighton).

This program is designed to keep hazardous wastes out of landfills, sewers, and other public areas. Residents can clean out the house and garage and bring their hazardous materials to the collection site on October 14th. In cooperation with Clean Sweep, through the Michigan Water Stewardship Program, homeowners as well as farm, green-house, nursery, golf course, or other end users of pesticides, mercury, and many other toxic and hazardous materials, can use this service. Proper disposal of these wastes significantly decreases the potential risk of contamination of our groundwater and surface waters. Help us in protecting our water resources!
