2010 HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE AND CLEAN SWEEP COLLECTION DAY

When: Saturday, October 9, 2010
Where: Mecosta County Senior Center, 12954 80th Avenue, Mecosta, MI
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 12 Noon

This program is designed to keep hazardous wastes out of landfills, sewers and other public areas. Residents can clean out the house and garage and bring their hazardous materials to the collection site on October 10th. In cooperation with Clean Sweep, through the Michigan Groundwater Stewardship Program, homeowners as well as farm, green-house, nursery, golf course or other end users of pesticides, mercury and many other toxic and hazardous materials, can use this service.

Proper disposal of these wastes significantly decreases the potential risk of contamination of our groundwater and surface waters. Help us in protecting our water resources!
